Understanding the Framework Edit Mode Toolbar

Depending on the layout you select, the framework toolbar shows two icons on the left-hand side that are named:

  • Create New Content: Enables you to create new content. When you click Create New Content, a popup window displays the available types of content that you can create

  • Edit Existing Content: Enables you to open and edit existing content. When you click Open Existing Content, a popup window displays content that already has been created but is not included on the selected layout.

When you select a shared layout in the framework edit mode, the above two icons do not appear on the toolbar.

The icons (on the right-hand side of the toolbar) are available for all User Defined Objects (UDOs) and are discussed in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide.

See "Understanding the UDO Design Panel" in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Foundation Guide.

For detail usage of these icons in the Composite Application Framework edit mode, see the provided link.

  • About form Layout: Enables you to view the information about the enabled EnterpriseOne form.

  • Close: Enables you to exit the Composite Application Framework edit mode and return to view mode.

If any of the icons are gray, the action is not available for the selected layout or is not available until you select another action.
