Obtaining the Oracle Database Client

To obtain an Oracle database client:

1. Download the 64- or 32-bit Oracle 12c database client from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud located at this link:

   http://edelivery.oracle.com

2. On Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, select Download Package in the drop-down list.

3. In the Search field, enter this string:

   Oracle Database Enterprise Edition

4. Click Search

5. On Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, in the Select Products pulldown, select this checkbox:

   Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

6. Click the Continue button.

7. On Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, in the Found Results list, click the Select button next to the version of the Oracle Database Enterprise Edition that is listed in the Oracle Certifications for use with the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client.

8. Click View Items and then Continue.

9. Expand the entry Oracle Database Enterprise Edition by clicking the arrow to the left of the release name.

   Under the expanded entry for Oracle Database Enterprise Edition, uncheck all checkboxes except this:

   Oracle Database Client

10. In the Platforms/Languages column, click the drop-down arrow and select this checkbox:

    • If EnterpriseOne is 32-bits:

      Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

    • If EnterpriseOne is 64-bits:

      Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)

11. Click outside the dropdown list and click the Continuebutton.

12. Review the Oracle Standard Terms and Restrictions license agreement, turn on the Accept checkbox and click Continue.

13. Ensure that a checkmark exists next to the file(s) to download.

14. Click the Download button.

15. Save the downloaded file to your computer.

16. Extract the contents of the downloaded file.
