Deleting OVFS Components
If you do not need OVFS components that were set up, you can delete the components if you have the permissions to do so. The following table describes the OVFS and BI Publisher Layout Editor components that you can delete:
Component |
Comments |
---|---|
Column Definition |
You can delete a column definition if the column definition is not used in a statement definition. If the column definition is used in one or more statement definitions, you must remove the column definition from the statement definition before you can delete the column definition. Note that if you remove the column definition from the statement definition, you might make the statement definition invalid. |
Row Definition |
You can delete a row definition if the row definition is not used in a statement definition. If the row definition is used in one or more statement definitions, you must remove the row definition from the statement definition before you can delete the row definition. Note that if you remove the row definition from the statement definition, you might make the statement definition invalid. |
Statement Definition |
When you delete a statement definition, the system removes only the statement definition record from the OVFS Statement Definition Setup (F09330) table and removes the statement versions associated with the statement definition from the OVFS Statement Version Setup table (F09340). Deleting a statement definition does not delete the following components that are or might be associated with the statement definition:
|
Statement Version |
You can delete the statement versions using the Delete icon on the Work with Statement Versions form. |
Layout |
You can delete layouts in the BI Publisher Layout Editor. You must have access to the statement definition and version to which the layout is associated. If you delete a statement definition before you delete the layout, you cannot access the layout. You can access the financial statement layouts only by using the Manage Layouts option on the Work with Statement Versions form. |
