Return Description for Grouping Elements
When you select grouping elements for a data row definition, you can select the Return Description check box for the grouping element to have the system return a description. For some grouping elements, the Return Description check box is not enabled. For example, you cannot return a description when the grouping element is a description itself, such as the grouping element DL01 (Description) from the Business Unit Master table (F0006).
The retrieval of descriptions for some grouping elements can differ based on the combination of the grouping elements for a row definition as well as other setup within your JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system. For example, the description returned for an object account will differ based on the language setting for the user and whether an alternate description for the account is set up in the Account Master - Alternate Description table (F0901D). If, for example, the user's language setting is for Spanish and an alternate description exists in the F0901D table for the Spanish language, then the description returned for the object account for the user will be the Spanish language description.
