(Release 9.2 Update) Automatic Pickup of ATP and CATP dates

When entering a new sales order detail line or editing a sales order detail line, you can leave the Scheduled Pick Date field blank and move to the next line to automatically populate the Available to Promise (ATP) or Cumulative Available to Promise (CATP) date in this field.

The automatic populating of ATP or CATP date eliminates the need to access the Supply and Demand Inquiry form while entering a date in the sales order detail line.

The system calculates the ATP or CATP date according to the setup of the processing option Display ATP Line (Display tab) of the Supply and Demand Inquiry (P4021) program and automatically populates the Scheduled Pick Date in the sales order detail line. If there are no dates on which the quantity of an item is sufficient to meet the demand, the system displays a warning.

The system enables automatic populating of ATP and CATP dates when the Scheduled Pick Date field is left blank during:

  • A new sales order entry.

  • An existing sales order edit.

  • An order creation using the EDI Inbound Purchase Order Edit/Create (R47011) or an order update using the EDI Inbound Purchase Order Change (R47131) Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) programs.

  • An order release for future commitment using the Repost Active Sales Orders program (R42995).

Note: The sales order system does not support automatic return of Scheduled Pick Date for:
  • Sales orders of types Quote Orders, Blanker Orders, and Credit Orders

  • Configured items, kit items, and process items

  • Non stock items

  • Sales orders processed using the Global Order promising (GOP) mode

  • Advanced planning orders

  • Sales orders in the Engineer-To-Order (ETO) system

  • Make-To-Order items

  • Partial shipment orders

To enable this feature, ensure that you set the processing options for automatically populating ATP and CATP for the P4210 and P42101 programs. For more details, see, Process.
