Canceling Refunds

If the system generates an error during the posting of a refund, you cannot continue processing the refund, and you cannot reverse it because the posting process did not finish. You must cancel the refund and post it again. This section discusses:

Note:

You may never have to use the cancellation pages. They are designed solely as a safety measure for quick recovery.

Pages Used to Cancel Refunds

Corp Refund Cancellation	REFUND_ORG_CAN_SF	Student Financials, and then Refunds, and then Reverse and Cancel Refunds, and then Cancel Corporate Refund, and then Corp Refund Cancellation	Cancel an organization refund and begin again if you encounter a problem during the posting process.

Canceling Student Refunds

Access the Student Refund Cancellation page (Student Financials, and then Refunds, and then Reverse and Cancel Refunds, and then Cancel Student Refund, and then Student Refund Cancellation).

Field or Control	Description
Cancel	Select this check box next to the refund to cancel. When you save the page, the system cancels each selected refund and makes the Cancel check box unavailable.

Access the Corp Refund Cancellation page (Student Financials, and then Refunds, and then Reverse and Cancel Refunds, and then Cancel Corporate Refund, and then Corp Refund Cancellation).
