Understanding Digital Badges

The Digital Badges feature enables organizations to recognize employee achievements, skills, certifications, and key milestones.

Common examples include class completion, licenses and certifications, service anniversaries (5, 10, or 20 years), and participation in company-sponsored activities (such as Heart Walk or volunteer events). Digital badges help increase engagement and acknowledge accomplishments, providing employees with tangible proof of their contributions, which helps keep them motivated.

The Digital Badges feature enables users to award, view or manage badges based on their roles.

Administrators can:

  • View badges awarded to employees and issue new badges on the View and Award Badges page.

  • Run the Application Engine (AE) process to automatically award badges on the Run Digital Badge Assignment page.

  • Set up and manage the Digital Badges feature.

Managers can:

  • Manually award badges to team members through recognitions.

  • View badges earned by their team members in Team Talent Profile, My Team, Team Snapshot, Directory, and Team Recognition (if associated with recognitions).

Employees can:

  • View badges that they earned in Career Snapshot, Directory, and Recognition (if associated with recognitions).
  • View badges earned by other employees in Directory.
