Understanding Fluid Business Objectives

Fluid Business Objectives modernizes the Business Objectives functionality, providing a refreshing and intuitive user experience for creating, managing, and viewing business objectives in the system.

The Business Objectives functionality provides organizations the ability to create and publish company objectives, display them in an organization chart view, and tie employee goals to the goals and initiatives of departments, business units, and ultimately to the overall organizational strategy.

The process of setting up business objectives is similar to the setup for performance documents. It includes the definition of objective plans that specify the time period and hierarchy method, objective sections, and objective templates. These definitions are used in creating business objective documents for departments or positions.

The fluid version of Business Objectives delivers:

  • A modern user interface to enhance the user experience in working with business objectives. The new design includes:

    • A redesigned document concept and layout that is optimized for any device.

    • The More Actions menu in multiple locations of the business objective document to provide relevant user actions where they are needed.

  • Ability for managers to create, manage, and view business objectives of which they are the owner or editor.

    See Business Objectives Tile.

  • Ability for employees to view published business objectives from their direct managers, and also from their organizational hierarchy.

    See View Business Objectives Tile.
