Find out how access permissions are inherited when you move content around in the Oracle Analytics catalog.

Moving from My Folders to Shared Folders

The items moved receive the access setting of the parent folder it's moved to.

Moving from Shared Folders to My Folders

The access setting is removed for the content being moved and will no longer be accessible by anyone except from the user who moved the items to My Folders.

Moving from one Shared Folders to Another

The access setting on the items being moved is retained. You might need to modify the parent folder access setting if you want the same users and roles to have access.
