Use a Shared Data Action

Enable a shared data action in the Shared Actions folder so that it’s available to use in your workbook.

When a data action is added to the Shared Actions folder, all other workbooks using the dataset or subject area automatically show the data action in that folder too, except it’s disabled by default.

You need Read-Write access to the dataset or subject area to enable a shared data action.

1. On your home page, hover over a workbook, click Actions, and select Open.
2. In the Actions pane, expand the Shared Actions folder.
3. Right-click the data action you want to use and click Enable Action.
4. Click Save.
