Create and Configure an MCP Gateway

You create an MCP gateway to which you assign the MCP servers and business and security policies.

  1. Open a project.
    1. In the navigation pane, select Projects.
    2. Select the project in which to create the MCP gateway.
  2. In the left toolbar, select MCP Gateway .
  3. In the MCP gateways section, select Add.

    The Create MCP gateway panel appears.

  4. Configure required fields for your MCP gateway:
    • Name: Name for the MCP gateway. Provide a descriptive name so that you know what your MCP gateway represents.
    • Identifier: Oracle Integration generates this value using the Name value.
    • Description: Describe the types of MCP servers this MCP gateway contains.
  5. Click Create.

    The MCP gateway details page is displayed.

The fields described below are displayed when you initially create the MCP gateway. However, you can also configure your MCP gateway at a later time. Go to the MCP gateway section and click the name of the gateway to configure.

  1. In the MCP Servers section, select which MCP servers to group under this MCP gateway. You can select multiple MCP servers to use a single MCP gateway.

    The business and security policies associated with the selected MCP servers are displayed.

  2. In the Policies section, for each MCP server you selected for grouping with the MCP gateway, select the business and security policies to apply.
  3. In the Policy evaluation order section, select the order of execution for the selected business and security policies. Use the up and down arrows to reorder the execution priority of the policies.
    For example, you may want to select a business policy to execute first and a PII detection security policy to execute second. If the business policy fails, you don't want the PII detection security policy to execute. However, if the business policy succeeds, you want the PII detection security policy to execute and send data back to the agent.
  4. Click Save.
