AI Innovation and Oracle Integration
Oracle Integration is optimizing its user experience with embedded AI capabilities and enabling you to integrate your own AI solutions.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI services—Call OCI AI services from your integrations.
- Generative AI descriptions—Generate AI-powered descriptions for components in Oracle Integration.
- AI natural language features—Use natural language to help build and schedule integrations, develop FHIR search queries, and write ATP SQL queries.
AI Features
Oracle Integration includes the following AI features.
AI feature | Feature description |
---|---|
AI-powered descriptions for components |
Generate AI-powered descriptions for components in Oracle Integration. This alternative to manually entering a description improves productivity and provides valuable insights to other users. You can generate descriptions for the following components: |
AI-powered error messages | View meaningful error messages generated by AI for failed integration instances. These error messages can help you identify and resolve the issues in the failed instances. See View an AI-Powered Error Message. |
AI-powered integration creation |
Create new integrations within a project using natural language. Use the AI chat box that's available right in the integration canvas. |
ATP SQL queries |
Generate AI-powered SQL database queries in the Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Adapter through the use of natural language. See Invoke Select AI for SQL Page and Create an AI-Generated SQL Query in Using the Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing Adapter with Oracle Integration 3. |
FHIR search queries |
Generate AI-powered FHIR Adapter search queries through the use of natural language. FHIR provides a powerful and flexible search mechanism to retrieve healthcare data from resources using RESTful APIs. See Configure AI Search and Create an AI-Generated FHIR Search Query in Using the FHIR Adapter with Oracle Integration 3. |
OCI Document Understanding action |
Use AI to extract information from invoices, receipts, passports, and drivers licenses. See Extract Document Information with a Document Understanding Action. |
OCI Generative AI action |
Use AI chat to brainstorm ideas, get answers to questions, write descriptions or content, explain concepts, and much more. |
OCI Generative AI RAG action |
Combine the power of large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with your enterprise data, enabling you to query diverse enterprise knowledge bases and receive context-specific answers based on the current data. |
OCI Language action |
Use AI to process unstructured text for sentiment analysis, entity recognition, classification, translation, and more. See Perform Text Analysis and Translation with a Language Action. |
OCI Speech action |
Use AI to transcribe speech to text. |
OCI Vision action |
Use AI to automatically extract textual or visual information from images. See Analyze and Extract Information from Images with a Vision Action. |
OpenAI Adapter | Invoke OpenAI LLM models from integrations in Oracle Integration. The OpenAI API provides a simple REST interface to state-of-the-art OpenAI LLM models for text generation, prompting, and function calling. See OpenAI Adapter Capabilities in Using the OpenAI Adapter with Oracle Integration 3. |
Smart scheduler |
Generate AI-powered iCal expressions for schedule integrations through the use of natural language. This alternative to manually entering iCal parameters simplifies schedule definition. See Create an AI-Generated iCal Schedule by Entering Natural Language Text. |
AI Feature Availability
- The OpenAI Adapter is supported in all regions.
- Some features have their own list of supported regions.
- Some features use OCI Generative AI, which Oracle Integration enables in specific regions. See OCI Generative AI Region Support.
- Some features support bringing your own AI engine API key (BYOK) if OCI Generative AI isn't enabled in the region. See Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for Generative AI Descriptions.

OCI Generative AI Region Support
Oracle Integration uses OCI Generative AI for several AI features—generative AI descriptions and AI natural language features. These features are available only in specific regions.
- US West (Phoenix) - PHX
- US East (Ashburn) - IAD
- UK South (London) - LHR
- Germany Central (Frankfurt) - FRA
If your service instance isn't in one of these regions, you can still use the generative AI description feature by subscribing to and registering your own AI engine. See Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for Generative AI Descriptions.
