Enable Customer-Managed Custom Endpoints on the Primary and Secondary Instances
Customer-managed custom endpoints enabled on the primary instance are not automatically enabled on the secondary instance during failover. To ensure the successful use of customer-managed custom endpoints, you must explicitly enable the endpoints on the secondary instance before performing a failover.
Note:
Oracle-managed custom endpoints are not supported for disaster recovery. If you plan to use customer-managed custom endpoints, perform the following steps. You only need to perform these steps once.
- Go to the primary instance in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console and add your customer-managed custom endpoints.
- Go to the secondary instance in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console and add the same customer-managed custom endpoints. You must update your custom endpoint DNS record when the instance fails over. The custom endpoint in DNS maps to the Oracle Integration global URL (CNAME).
