Install and Configure the Recipe

On your Oracle Integration instance, install the recipe to deploy and configure the integration and associated resources.

Install the recipe on your Oracle Integration instance. See Install a Recipe or Accelerator.

After you've installed the recipe, configure the following resources:

Configure the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Connection

  1. In the Connections section, click the connection name.
  2. In the Properties section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    Microsoft Dynamics 365 Organization URL Enter the Microsoft Dynamics 365 organization URL.
    Tenant ID Enter the tenant id. See Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365.
    API Version Enter the API version. See Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  3. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    Security Policy Select Client Credentials.
    Client Id Enter the client id. See Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365.
    Client Secret Enter the client secret. See Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  4. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  5. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured. In the resulting dialog, click Test again.

    A message confirms if your test is successful.

  6. To return to the project workspace, click Go back Back icon.

Configure the ServiceNow Connection

  1. In the Connections section, click the connection name.
  2. In the Properties section, enter the ServiceNow instance name. For example: https://host_name.servicenow.com.
  3. In the Security section, enter the following details:
    Field Information to Enter
    Security Policy Select Basic Authentication.
    Username Enter the ServiceNow username.
    Password Enter the ServiceNow password.
  4. Click Save. If prompted, click Save again.
  5. Click Test to ensure that your connection is successfully configured. In the resulting dialog, click Test again.

    A message confirms if your test is successful.

  6. To return to the project workspace, click Go back Back icon.

Update Integration Properties

Update the integration properties with appropriate values.

Note:

This is an application driven integration, and you can update the property values only before activating the recipe.
  1. In the Integrations section, click Actions Actions icon on the integration flow, then select Update property values.
  2. In the Integrations section, click Actions Actions icon on the Oracle MSD ServiceNow Case Sync integration flow, then select Update property values.
  3. In the Update property values panel, update the integration properties with appropriate values.
    1. emailTo: This integration property holds the email address to which runtime exception emails are sent. Enter an email address of your choice.
    2. retry_count: This integration property holds the number of retries to attempt if a record fails while importing employee records at run time. Enter a number of your choice.
  4. Click Submit.

    A message confirms that the integration properties have been updated successfully.
