Task Overview for Defining and Using Data Sources and Targets
Data sources let you store sample data sets and complete raw data sets. Use targets to publish the resulting data sets from running a transform, and upload and download data from the data sources that you define in the Catalog.

Add new data sources to your Catalog. Use these sources to store the sample files that you use to create transforms, the real data sets that you want to prepare and enhance, or the results of running a transform on a data set. Create data sources or targets using Oracle Storage Cloud Service, Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service, Oracle Data Visualization Cloud Service, Oracle Database Cloud Service, or a Hadoop Distributed File System. |
