Download Files or Media

When you download a file, you'll be able to use it even if you're not connected to the cloud. If you're traveling, for example, and have to set your device to Airplane Mode, you can still view or edit a file that's stored for offline use in the Content app or saved to your device.

There are two ways to download a file:

Save a File for Offline Use in the Content App

  1. Find the file and open it to view it.
  2. Tap Share icon. Choose Save for Offline.
  3. When prompted, choose to download the file.

Downloaded files are encrypted and stored in the Offline area of the app. To see a list of downloaded files, open the drop-down menu in the header on the Documents page, and tap Offline.

To remove a downloaded file, long-tap the file, select it, and then tap Delete icon.

Save the File to Locally Your Device

  1. Locate the file, tap More menu icon, then tap Open In....

You can also save the file while viewing it by tapping Share icon, tapping Open In....

  2. Tap Save to Files.
  3. Select the location where you want to save the file, and then tap Save. If you want to be able to use the file when you're offline, make sure to save it locally to your device. When you save a file locally to your device, you can see it in the Files app.
