Upload Files or Media

You can upload files or media to Oracle Content in several ways.

Note:

If you're a member of a shared folder, you may not be able to add files to the shared folder. It depends on the role you were assigned when you were added to the folder. If you can't perform an action, the action isn't available.

Upload Files in the Content App

  1. Go to the location, either a folder or a conversation, where you want the file or photo.
  2. Tap Add icon.
  3. Tap Upload Media or Files.
  4. Choose what you want to upload:
    • Tap Camera icon to upload a photo or take a new photo and upload it.
    • Tap Microphone icon to record a voice message and upload it.
    • Tap File load icon to select a file from another location, such as Google Drive or from another Oracle Content account.
  5. Select the item you want to upload. You can upload a maximum of 25 items at one time.
  6. Edit the name of the item if needed, and enter an optional description.
  7. Enter optional tags for the item. A tag is like a keyword, which helps you categorize files. If you upload multiple items, the same tags will be applied to all the files.
  8. Tap Add or Post when done.

Upload Files from Your Phone or Other Apps

You can add photos from your photo gallery, files from the File app, or files from other apps to Oracle Content. Open your gallery and select the photos you want to add. Tap the Upload icon and choose Oracle Content as your location. Find the account and folder you want to use and tap Select and then tap Upload. You can also add tags to the items if you plan to use it as a digital asset.

Upload Files from One Oracle Content Account to Another

You can upload files from one Oracle Content account to another. Say, you have two accounts: Corporate and SalesDept. You could sign in to your Corporate account, and select the option to upload a file. Then you could select Oracle Content as the location you want to choose from, select your SalesDept account, find the file you want to upload, and select a location in your Corporate account to store it.
