Manage Sensitive Types

You can manage sensitive types.

Update a User-Defined Sensitive Type

You can modify user-defined sensitive types, but not Oracle predefined sensitive types.

  1. Under Security Center, click Data Discovery.
  2. Under Related Resources, click Sensitive Types.
    By default, all the predefined and user-defined sensitive types are listed.
  3. Search for and click the name of the user-defined sensitive type that you want to update.
    The Sensitive Type Details page is displayed.
  4. Click Edit.
    The Edit Sensitive Type window is displayed.
  5. Modify the parameters, and then click Save.

Move a User-Defined Sensitive Type to a Different Compartment

  1. Under Security Center, click Data Discovery.
  2. Under Related Resources, click Sensitive Types.
    By default, all Oracle predefined and user-defined sensitive types are listed.
  3. Search for and click the name of the user-defined sensitive type that you want to move.
    The Sensitive Type Details page is displayed.
  4. Click Move Resource.
    The Move Resource to a Different Compartment dialog box is displayed.
  5. Select a compartment, and then click Move Resource.

Delete a User-Defined Sensitive Type

Deleting a user-defined sensitive type is permanent. You cannot delete Oracle predefined sensitive types.

  1. Under Security Center, click Data Discovery.
  2. Under Related Resources, click Sensitive Types.
    By default, all Oracle predefined and user-defined sensitive types are listed.
  3. Search for and click the name of the user-defined sensitive type that you want to delete.
    The Sensitive Type Details page is displayed.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. In the dialog box, click Delete to confirm.
