Complete SAP Ariba Task/Event-Based Method Prerequisites
Perform the following SAP Ariba task/event-based method prerequisites.
Configure Shared Secret-Based Authentication
Configure shared secret-based authentication.
- Log in to the SAP Ariba Spend Management application.
- Navigate to Manage > Core Administration (Downstream) / Administration (Upstream) > Integration Configuration > Integration Manager > Integration Toolkit Security.

From the Select the Authentication Method list, select Shared Secret.

Enter the integration shared secret password, then re-enter the password a second time for confirmation.

Copy this value and the password. You need these values when configuring security on the Connections page.
- Click Save.
Configure the SAP Ariba Integration
Configure the SAP Ariba integration.
- Log in to the SAP Ariba Spent Management application.
- Navigate to Manage > Core Administration (Downstream) / Administration (Upstream) > Integration Manager > Integration Configuration.
- Search the required task name in the Search filters.
- Click Actions for the respective task and select Enable.
Obtain the SAP Ariba Host Name and Partition (Site/Realm Name) to Configure Connection Properties for SAP Ariba
Obtain the SAP Ariba host name and partition (site/realm name) to configure connection properties for SAP Ariba.
Download the Sourcing Data Dictionary and Buyer Data Dictionary
Download the sourcing data dictionary and buyer data dictionary to upload into Oracle Integration.

You must have an existing SAP Ariba user account. A user account is required to provide the credentials necessary to create the connection and integration.

To use the Ariba task/event-based method, you must perform the following tasks:

Log in to SAP Ariba to download the data dictionaries.

To download the sourcing data dictionary, navigate to Home > Administration > Data Import/Export, and click Download Data Dictionary.
