8 Troubleshooting Analytics Reports
Analytics generates reports based on artifacts created on the Oracle Mobile Cloud server, events defined in the mobile app code, and by the mobile client SDK. Depending on these factors, none, or all, of the reports may be available.
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
I don’t see any reports |
When you first log into Analytics, there aren’t any reports because your developer has to create a mobile backend for the mobile app. Alternately, no data has yet been sent from the mobile app. |
The events I want to analyze aren’t listed in the event menu. |
Analytics events are completely customizable. Ask your developer to add the events you need. |
When I’ve added filters to my reports, user counts seem inaccurate. |
Filters have precedence, and depending on what filters are applied, you’ll see different user counts. See Why User Counts Can Vary. |
I deleted a report from Favorites. Now I can’t find it on the report landing page. |
Favorited reports are bookmarks of reports, not copies of them. If you delete a Favorite report, the report will no longer be shown on the report’s landing page. |
I set a date range for a retention report, but the report data shows a different date range. |
Retention report date ranges always begin on a Monday. So, if you chose a date range that starts on Thursday, your report will gather analytics beginning the previous Monday. |
