Reassign a Task

Process administrators can reassign tasks even when if they are in Request Info state.

Users with Manage permission can use the Reassign action on tasks that are in the Request Info state so that workflows do not get stuck in scenarios like if the task assignee is on emergency leave.

  1. Log in as a user with Manage permission.
  2. On the Tasks page, select the Managed by me tab.
  3. Open the required task that is in Request Info state.
  4. Select Reassign from the Actions menu.
  5. In the resulting Reassign Tasks dialog, select a user or a role in the drop-down list available from the Select members field.
  6. Optionally, add a comment in the Comment field.
  7. Click Reassign.
    The reassigned user can now start working on the task.
