How Do I Resolve Installation Issues?

Run the Client Health Check tool if the installation fails with an error or the add-in is missing in Excel.

The installation failed with an error message

  1. Run the Client Health Check tool.
  2. Verify your software versions are supported.
  3. Click Save Report As... and save the report to a local drive.
  4. Capture the exact error message from the installer.
  5. Generate an installation log.
  6. File a service request. Refer to Doc ID 1540335.1 on the Oracle Support site for instructions for filing a service request.

The add-in is missing in Excel

If the Oracle Visual Builder for Excel ribbon is missing, check to see if the add-in is disabled.

  1. Run the Client Health Check tool.
  2. Verify your software versions are supported.
  3. Fix any problems indicated by the tool.
  4. If the problem is not resolved:
    1. Click Save Report As... and save the report to a local drive.
    2. File a service request. Refer to Doc ID 1540335.1 on the Oracle Support site for instructions for filing a service request.
