How Do I Resolve Installation Issues?
Run the Client Health Check tool if the installation fails with an error or the add-in is missing in Excel.
The installation failed with an error message
- Run the Client Health Check tool.
- Verify your software versions are supported.
- Click Save Report As... and save the report to a local drive.
- Capture the exact error message from the installer.
- Generate an installation log.
- File a service request. Refer to Doc ID 1540335.1 on the Oracle Support site for instructions for filing a service request.
The add-in is missing in Excel
If the Oracle Visual Builder for Excel ribbon is missing, check to see if the add-in is disabled.
- Run the Client Health Check tool.
- Verify your software versions are supported.
- Fix any problems indicated by the tool.
- If the problem is not resolved:
- Click Save Report As... and save the report to a local drive.
- File a service request. Refer to Doc ID 1540335.1 on the Oracle Support site for instructions for filing a service request.
