Creating Profiles for Balances with Missing Profiles When Loading Balances

Use the Mapping Exceptions tab to create a new profile for loaded balances that have a target profile but don’t have a corresponding profile.

When a balance load is run, the Status for balances that have no existing target profile is set to Missing Profile. You must create a new profile for such balances.

Note:

If Create Profiles was selected in the balance load template, missing profiles are created automatically and you don’t need to manually create new profiles. See Configuring Profile Creation Rules to Automatically Create Missing Profiles.

To create a new profile for balances with missing profiles:

  1. From the Home page, select Applications and then Balance Loads.
  2. Select the Mapping Exceptions tab.
  3. Select a balance with Status set to Missing Profile for which you want to create a new profile.
  4. Click Create Profile.
  5. In the New Profile dialog, ideally most details are prefilled using the defined global rules and profile creation rules. See Configuring Profile Creation Rules to Automatically Create Missing Profiles and Configuring Global Rules in Setting Up and Configuring Account Reconciliation.
  6. Enter values for the required properties and click OK to create a new profile for the account ID associated with the selected balance.
  7. If any warnings are generated when creating the profile, the Create Profile Warnings popup displays the details, and you can take the necessary actions. The Status for this balance now changes to Mapping Inserted.
  8. Rerun the balance load to reload balances. This refreshes the mapping exceptions for the latest balance load for that Location.

When you create a new profile for a balance, all other balances that are also mapped to the same target profile are mapped to the new profile.
