Creating Mappings for Unmapped Accounts When Loading Balances
Use the Mapping Exceptions tab to create new Account IDs for loaded balances that don’t have a matching Account ID.
When a loaded balance cannot be mapped to an existing account ID, the Status for this balance shows is set to Unmapped Account. You can create a mapping rule to map this balance to the appropriate account ID. For example, your organization added a new store last month and the balances that are loaded contain data for this store. However, there is no mapping in Data Integration that defines the account ID to which balances for the new store must be mapped. Therefore, the balances for this new store are marked as Unmapped Accounts and you must create a mapping to map the balances for this new store.
To create a mapping for a balance with an unmapped account:
- From the Home page, select Applications and then Balance Loads.
- Select the Mapping Exceptions tab.
- Select a balance with Status set to Unmapped Account for which you want to create a new mapping.
- Click Create Mapping.
- In the New Mapping dialog, the Location, Company, Account, and Source Account ID are prefilled using information in the balance load. In Target Account ID, enter the account ID to which this balance must be mapped. Or, click the search icon to select the required account ID from the Select Profile dialog.
- Click OK to create a new mapping and add this mapping to Data Integration.
- The Status for this balance changes to Mapping Inserted.
After mapping balances to the appropriate account IDs, rerun the balance load to recalculate balances.
When you create a mapping for a balance, other balances that match the new mapping are also updated with the account ID and their status is set to Mapping Inserted. For example, when you create a mapping for unmapped balance with Account ID 500-2000, all unmapped balances with the same account will get updated. Therefore, creating one mapping could result in multiple balances with the Unmapped Account exception getting mapped to an account.
