Notifications

Notifications provide information about Knowledge Advanced processes to users authorized to receive them. Knowledge Advanced notifies content owners about content-related tasks and events such as when an article is due to expire, or article progress within a workflow.

Task Notifications

Task Notification Description

Workflow Task

Notifies content reviewers and owners that a workflow task is available for action on an article. This notification is used for each workflow step and the action details appear in the article. When the same author both creates and approves an article, a notification is sent.

Translation Task

Notifies content owners and translators when content is scheduled for translation.

Expiring Content

Notifies content owners 7 days before content is due to expire, based on a specified date or time period. Authorized users can specify content expiration as a default time period within the Content Type definition or on an individual record basis.

Workflow Progress

Notifies content owners of content progress within the workflow.

Note:

If the same author both creates and approves an article, this notification is not sent.

Delinquent Workflow

Notifies content owners that a workflow step task is overdue, based on a specified time period (in days). The user can specify the time period while creating the workflow steps. The default queue time for sending notifications is 30 days. For every workflow step, a maximum of two workflow overdue notifications can be sent to the content owner.

Content Review

Notifies content owners 7 days before content is due for review, based on a specified date. Authorized users can specify content reviews as a default time period within the Content Type definition or on an individual record basis.

Recommendation Closed

Notifies users that a recommendation they submitted has been closed.

Notifies content owners that a recommendation has been submitted on an article.

Publish Notification

Notifies content owners of content that has been published.

Note:

If the same author both creates and approves an article, this notification is not sent.

Content Subscription

Notifies content subscribers of updates to articles.

Email Article Link

Notifies recipients that a knowledge answer has been sent to them by another user. It includes the sender’s name and email as well as the article title and a link to the article.
