Appendix: Add Subscription to an Existing Cloud Account

This topic outlines the step-by-step process required for the migration.

If you currently utilize a cloud account hosting your other Oracle workloads and wish to incorporate commerce subscriptions into this existing account, you can do so.

Selecting the "Add to existing cloud account" option will provide you with the opportunity to log in to your existing tenancy. After logging in, you will be presented with a confirmation screen for adding the subscription.

Add subscription

After confirming the subscription addition, you can proceed to create environments by following the steps outlined in the Create Environment section in this topic.

Important Notes:

  • To add a subscription successfully, the user currently logged in must have administrative privileges for the cloud account within the tenancy. If these privileges are lacking, they can be granted by one of the existing administrators or can be acquired by submitting an Oracle support ticket to obtain the required roles and permissions.
  • Subscription addition must be performed from within the home region of the tenancy.

Create Environment

If you intend to create the instances in a region other than the home region, please ensureto subscribe to it first before initiating the instance creation process.

You have the ability to create environments according to the service components present in your subscription.

The type of environment you create depends on the selection made in the "Type of Environment" dropdown menu. For instance, choosing "OCCS Additional Test Environment" from the dropdown menu will facilitate the creation of additional test environments.
