Understanding Application Types

Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud provides application types for commonly-used external applications. These application types enforce conformity to external applications while requiring minimal configuration. For example, the Planning application type automatically defines the properties required by dimensions.

Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud also provides a Universal application type, which can be defined and configured in any way you would like, and a Users application type, which can be used to manage a set of users who can be associated with nodes in other applications.
