Resetting User Password

Identity Domain Administrators can reset user's password. When the password reset is successful, the system automatically generates a new temporary password and mails it to the user. Users are required to change the temporary password the next time they sign in.

To reset user password:

  1. Sign into IAM Interface as an Identity Domain Administrator in the source domain. See: Accessing the IAM Interface.
  2. Navigate to User management tab.

  3. To reset password for a user -
    1. Click ellipses next to the user account, and select Reset Password
    2. Click Reset. A password reset notification is sent to the user account.

  4. To reset passwords for selected users -
    1. Check the box next to each user account you want to include.
    2. Click Actions and select Reset password for selected users.

    3. Click Reset. A password reset notification is sent to the selected user accounts.

  5. To reset passwords for all users -
    1. Click Actions and select Reset password for all users
    2. Enter Reset to confirm reset of passwords for all users.
    3. Click Reset. A password reset notification is sent to all user accounts.
