Working with the Zoom Summary Type

For the AutoTextSummary text function, the "ZOOM" Summary Type has additional parameters that can be defined to refine the Generative AI (GenAI) narrative results.

  • Top/Bottom number: defines how many contributors are returned.

    Enter a number in this field. The default behavior, if this parameter is not defined, is 3.

  • Auto Text Summary Zoom Type: select if RELATIVEGENERATION or LEVEL is used to return the contributors.

    The default behavior, if this parameter is not defined is CHILDREN.

  • Auto Text Summary Level/Generation: defines the RELATIVEGENERATION or LEVEL number that is used to return the contributors. The RELATIVEGENERATION is the generation number relative to the generation of the member being analyzed.

    For example, if the member being analyzed is generation 4 and a RELATIVEGENERATION of 2 is specified, the system will return contributors from generation 6.

To select additional parameters for the Zoom Summary Type:

  1. In the Add Conditional Format/Text dialog, in the Conditional Text tab, using the function buttonbutton, select the AutoTextSummary function.

  2. Set the Summary Type parameter to "ZOOM".
  3. Optional: For Top or Bottom, enter a number in this field. If this field is unspecified, the default of 3 will be used
  4. Optional: For Auto Text Summary Zoom Type, select RELATIVEGENERATION or LEVEL. If this field is unspecified, the children of the member being evaluated will be used to determine the contributors.
  5. If an Auto Text Summary Zoom Type is selected, specify an Auto Text Summary Level/Generation number.
