Working with the Causality Summary Type
For the AutoTextSummary text function, the Causality use cases have
additional parameters that must be defined for the Generative AI (GenAI) narrative
results. These parameters are specified in the Criteria Definition after selecting a
Criteria Type of either CausalityAnalysis or
Causalitywith2LevelAnalysis.
- Primary Analytic Dimension: This service must internally Zoom in on a dimension to retrieve relevant data values. Select an Analytic Dimension, which is typically the row dimension in the grid.
- Primary Analytic Top/Bottom N: Specifies how many contributors are returned. The default selection is 3.
- Primary Member Relative Generation/Level: Select Default (Children), or select Relative Generation or Level, and then specify the corresponding number.
- Primary Member Relative Generation/Level value: Select the Relative
Generation (offset) or Level Number used to return contributors.
Relative Generation is the generation number relative to the generation
of the member being analyzed. If Primary Member Relative Generation/Level is
set to Default, no additional value needs to be selected.
For example, if the Analytic Dimension member being analyzed is in generation 4 and a Relative Generation of 2 is specified, the system returns contributors from generation 6.

If the Criteria Type is CausalityWith2LevelAnalysis, define these additional parameters:
- Secondary Dimension or Additional Member Relative Generation/Level: Select
Secondary Analytic Dimension or Additional Level.
If you select Secondary Analytic Dimension, define the following parameters:
- Secondary Analytic Dimension: Select the second dimension used for the analysis.
- Secondary Analytic Top/Bottom N: Specify the number of contributors to return. The default selection is 3.
- Secondary Member Relative Generation/Level: Select Default (Children), Relative Generation, or Level.
- Secondary Analytic Member Relative Generation/Level Value: Select the Relative Generation number or Level number to use. If Secondary Member Relative Generation/Level is set to Default, no value is required.
- If you select Additional Level, define the following additional
parameters:
- Additional Relative Generation/Level Top/Bottom N: Specifies how many contributors are returned. The default selection is 3.
- Additional Member Relative Generation/Level Value: If Additional
Member Relative Generation/Level is set to Relative
Generation or Level, select the Relative Generation
number or Level number used to return contributors. If it is
set to Default, no value is required.
