Define Source Mappings

In this step, we will define source mapping for each period in the Row-based-dates.txt file that was provided in the Data Integration.zip file that you downloaded to your local drive when you set up your environment.

To define source mappings:

1. On the Planning Home page, select Application, and then select Data Exchange.

   
   
   

2. On the Data Integration Home page, select Actions, and then Period Mappings.

   
   
   

3. On the Source Mapping tab, make sure the Source Type is set to File, and enter Row Based Dates for the Calendar.

   
   
   

4. Click to add a new mapping.

   
   
   

5. In Target Period Key, click .

   
   
   

6. In the Search and Select dialog box, enter Jan-21 in Period Name, and then click OK.

   
   
   

7. In Source Period, enter January-2021.

   
   
   

   Note that this format matches the format in the Row-based-dates.txt file.

   

8. Follow steps 4-7 to map the periods for February - December.

9. Click Save to save the period mappings.
