4 Working with AI

This chapter defines a structured approach for Finance teams to assess AI readiness, select and implement AI use cases within Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM, establish a monitoring model, and build a stage-based AI roadmap. It is intended as a companion to the technical implementation guidance published at the Cloud EPM documentation portal.

Scope: This chapter covers a Finance AI maturity framework, adoption criteria, the Cloud EPM AI implementation sequence, monitoring and evaluation procedures, and roadmap structure. Feature-level documentation for Cloud EPM AI capabilities is maintained separately in Features with AI and is updated with each monthly release.

Applicability: The framework applies to all Cloud EPM business processes: Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close, Account Reconciliation, Narrative Reporting, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management, Tax Reporting, and Enterprise Data Management. AI maturity is expected to differ across finance sub-functions within the same organization. The assessment and roadmap should be applied per sub-function.
