What's Migrated

Oracle migrates all artifacts, including the following as a part of migrating an existing environment (source) to a newly created environment (target):

  1. All application data.
  2. All users and their roles.
  3. Data management artifacts.
  4. Application audit.
  5. Job console records.
  6. Custom governor limits.
  7. Stored snapshots and the contents of the inbox and outbox.
  8. Daily maintenance start time.
  9. Application properties.
  10. Service URL, if you requested Oracle to have the target environments be accessible by the service URLs that you used to access the source environments.
    • If you requested this feature, the service URLs of the source environments will now connect to the target environments.

      Note:

The original service URLs of the target environments will no longer work. Attepts to access them will be routed to non-deterministic IAM login pages. This behavior is expected and does not indicate any issue.
    • If you asked Oracle not to set up this process, you will use the service URLs of the target environments to connect to them.

Additionally:

  • The software version of the target environment will match that of the source environment.
  • If the source environment is on a one-off patch, the target environment will also be on the same one-off patch.
  • If the source environment has skip update set for some monthly updates, the target environment will also have the same skip update set.
