Table 4-5 Smart View Add-on

Setting Description
Google Sheets

Select the Google Sheets check box to enable support for Oracle Smart View for Office in Google Sheets. When selected, you can connect to your application from Google Sheets and use Smart View features to view and analyze data in Google Sheets.

Keep Invalid Members/Comments

Select to allow users to retain invalid members and comments on ad hoc grids in Smart View after a refresh.

For example, users may enter member names incorrectly in ad hoc grids or add comments within or outside the grid. Selecting this option for the application allows users to refresh the grid and retain the invalid members and the comments, along with any data they may have already entered.

Smart View users can set a cell style for comments, which will call out the invalid members and comments. When this option is not selected, then the invalid member reverts to the closest previous member in the grid, with the exception of the first row or first column in the grid, which is retained as a comment. Blank rows or columns inserted into the grid remain blank.

Oracle Guided Learning Settings

If you have implemented Oracle Guided Learning, specify configuration settings.

Note:

These settings are part of a larger configuration process to enable you to work with Oracle Guided Learning. You must complete the configuration steps before using Oracle Guided Learning. See Integrating Cloud EPM and Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud with Oracle Guided Learning for more information.

Enable Currency Calculation Based on Scenario Time Period

If the system cannot identify the input as a valid member name or alias, the input will be displayed as a comment.

Choose whether to enable currency calculations in forms and batch currency rules based on the scenario time period. Selecting Yes restricts currency calculations to the range defined for the scenario time period. Selecting No calculates everything based on exchange rates and reporting currency and is not restricted based on the scenario time period range. Note that the behavior of the currency conversion script is dependent on this application setting at the time the rule is executed.

Set Number of Seconds Before Rules Run in Background

Enter a value between 0 and 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Note:

Rules that are set to automatically run when a form is loaded or saved never run in the background.

Default is Yes. Choose No to display the excluded members in the row drop-down POV in forms.

Forms Version

Specify a forms version. For existing applications, the default is Forms 1.0. Newly created applications will default to Forms 2.0. This setting is application-specific and can vary across applications.

Table 4-9 Profitability and Cost Management Settings

Setting Description
Calculation Threads

The number of rules that can be executed in parallel if a rule set is enabled for parallel calculation. See Parallel Calculation in the Rule Set Calculation options in Creating a Rule Set.

Allocation Precision

The decimal precision for calculated allocation results. Precision is calculated by rounding, not truncation. The default is 2 decimal places. Values can range from 7 to -6.

Scenario Upper Level Start / End Years Replaced with Level Zero

Resolves parent Year members in Scenario dimensions, which are used to determine whether the data for those scenarios can be edited.

  • If Yes, and All Years is selected in the Scenario dimension Start Year or End Year, then the Years dimension automatically resolves to all years configured and allows you to edit the cell level data for the given scenario.

  • If No, you cannot edit cell level data when All Years is used.

The default value is Yes. Selecting Yes guarantees that when the Start Year and End Year is set to All Years, any future years are automatically resolved to the correct year; otherwise, you would need to keep changing the End Year when new years are introduced.
