Creating a Model from a Snapshot

Use this option to create a new model from an existing snapshot. For example, if you had a model from a few months ago, and in the intervening time several of the rules changed, you could create a new model and restore the rules to the state they were in when you initially calculated the model.

Other scenarios where creating a model from a snapshot would be useful are if you need to compare how your results would have looked today if you had calculated last year's rules, or if you need to restore the data and the rules from last year and make modifications.

To create a new model from a snapshot:

  1. From the Home page, select Modeling, and then Calculation Analysis.

  2. From the Calculation Analysis page, select the desired calculation record.

  3. Click the Actions drop-down, and select Create Model from Snapshot.

  4. In the Create Model from Snapshot dialog box, enter a name for the new model, and then click OK.
