Enabling AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management

Enable AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management to empower users with data science optimized for multidimensional planning and forecasting use cases.

To enable AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management:

  1. From the Home Page, click Application, and then click Settings.
  2. In the Enable AI section, select Generative AI to enable these abilities:

    • Automatically generate narrative summaries for a single insight or group of insights. Insight summaries use GenAI. Output from GenAI may not always be factual, accurate, or appropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and using GenAI output at your discretion.

    • When you enable Gen AI in the Application Settings, Gen AI Narrative Summaries for Reports are also enabled. For more information, see Enabling Generative AI in Narrative Reporting in Designing with Reports.
  3. Click Save.

Note:

The Enable AI option is available only for EPM Enterprise subscriptions and when Hybrid mode is enabled. For more information, see Considerations for IPM Insights.

Generative AI features are available in many OCI realms. To view the realms where it is available, refer to Availability of Generative AI in the Operations Guide. If AI isn’t available in your home region, then the Enable AI option is not displayed.
