Enabling AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management

You must Enable AI to work with some features in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management.

To enable AI in Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management:

1. From the Home Page, click Application, and then click Settings.

2. In the Enable AI section, select Generative AI to enable these abilities:

   • Enable Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) Agent to assist with workflow tasks and modeling commands that enable users to more efficiently create and edit models, rule sets, and rules; calculate and analyze models; perform mass edits; and run analytic traces.

   • Enable the EPM Assistants option in the Downloads dialog box (accessed by selecting Downloads from the User Name list at the top of the Home page).

   • Summarize IPM Insights with Generative AI for a single insight or group of insights.

     For more information, see Summarizing Insights with Generative AI.

   • When viewing insights in forms and dashboards, generate a GenAI-enhanced summary of the insights.

     For more information, see Working with Insights in Forms and Dashboards.

   • Enable Gen AI narrative summaries for Reports.

     For more information, see Working with Generative AI in Reports.

3. Click Save.

Notes:

• The Enable AI option is available only for EPM Enterprise subscriptions

  Additionally, it is available only for Insights when Hybrid mode is enabled. For more information, see Considerations for IPM Insights.

• Generative AI features are available in many OCI realms. To view the realms where it is available, refer to Availability of Generative AI in the Operations Guide. If AI isn’t available in your home region, then the Enable AI option is not displayed.
