Add Time or Labor
When you open the Debrief page, Labor Hours and Travel Time are displayed automatically. For a project-based team activity, labor hours may also be displayed for each crew member assigned to the activity.
You can use the Labor option to add or update the time spent on an activity, including overtime. For team or crew activities, you can add labor for a missing crew member, delete an incorrect labor entry, or add another labor entry for a different work type.
Calculation of Labor Hours and Travel Time
Labor Hours Calculation
Labor hours are determined by the difference between the activity start time and the activity end time.
If the activity end time is earlier than the time when the resource opens the Debrief plugin (before saving the debrief entries), the labor hours are calculated as the difference between the activity start time and Debrief plugin opening time.
Travel Time Calculation
Travel time is calculated as follows:
- Travel Start Time: Calculated by subtracting the travel duration from the activity start time.
- Travel End Time: Defined as the activity start time.
The difference between the travel start time and travel end time is recorded as the travel time.
You can also update the values of Labor hours and Travel time as well. You can override the auto populated values and create new values in the Debrief page.
You can use the Add Charges option to add the time you have spent on an activity, including any overtime.
- Sign in to Oracle Fusion Field Service.
- Start the required activity, or open an activity that is already started.
- Click Debrief on the Activity Details page.
- Review the labor entries.
- For regular activities, review your own labor hours.
- For team or crew activities, review the labor hours for each crew member.
- To correct an entry, update the start time, end time, duration, billing item, or work type.
- To remove an incorrect entry, delete the labor entry.
- To add labor, click Add Charges and select Labor.
- Select the crew member, if applicable.
- Complete the required fields, such as billing type, billing item, work type, start time, end time, and duration.
- Click Submit.
Note: If crew labor auto-population is not enabled, the Debrief page opens the Add Labor screen and you must manually add labor hours for the required crew members.
