Managing User Type Settings

As your organization evolves, you may need to adapt user types to reflect changes in business roles. If a new business role is introduced, a corresponding user type must be created and configured. Similarly, if an existing role changes, the associated user type settings may require updates to align with the new requirements.

Changes made to a user type assigned to Oracle Fusion Field Service Core Application users are applied shortly after saving the updates on the User Types page. Changes to a user type assigned to Oracle Fusion Field Service Mobile for Android and iOS users are applied after the next synchronization. For users who are not actively logged in or synchronized, the changes takes effect after their next synchronization with the application. This ensures that updates are seamlessly rolled out without disrupting active user sessions.
