Native Integration Between Oracle Field Service and Fusion Project Management
This integration enables seamless coordination between Oracle Fusion Field Service and Fusion Project Management by allowing project tasks to be created, updated, and tracked natively within Field Service, eliminating the need for custom Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) flows. Supervisors and mobile workers can initiate and monitor financial project tasks linked to their activities, resulting in streamlined project execution and enhanced data consistency.

Key Functionalities
- Project-Linked Activities: Supervisors can create field activities and, during creation, select an existing project to automatically create a corresponding financial project task in Fusion Project Management.
- Direct Data Entry: Required task information, including project ID, task name, task number, effort (using activity duration), and optionally, SLA-based start/end dates can be captured directly in Oracle Fusion Field Service pages.
- Live Project Association: After a related project task is established, all task-related details are stored within the task and not duplicated in the activity record. Project and task descriptive flexfields can also be captured at this stage.
- Progress and Status Updates: Mobile workers can report progress or change status on project tasks directly from their mobile devices. Status updates made in Oracle Fusion Field Service automatically propagate to the corresponding tasks in Fusion Project Management.
Advantages
- End-to-End Mobile Experience: Mobile workers can manage and report on project tasks natively from their mobile app or web interface, reducing reliance on integrations.
- Improved Insight & Coordination: Real-time task status and progress tracking help keep both Oracle Fusion Field Service and Fusion Project Management teams aligned.
- Easier Setup & Maintenance: No need for OIC-level integrations or manual data mapping, setup is configuration-driven for faster deployment and less maintenance overhead.
