Configure Maintenance Resources in Oracle Fusion Field Service

You can configure calendar availability for maintenance labor resources in Oracle Fusion Field Service. Oracle Fusion Cloud Maintenance uses this availability to schedule maintenance work orders and operations.

Maintenance resources are available in Field Service environments that use the native Fusion platform and the common service data model used by Fusion applications. When the capability is enabled, maintenance labor resources are displayed only on the Field Resources page and are visible only to users who have permission to view the Maintenance Dispatch List.

Maintenance resources use a resource type role that is different from field resources.

Note: To use the Field Resources page, you must have access to either Fusion Setup and Maintenance or Fusion Setup and Administration. In addition, the user must be assigned a job role that includes the duty role Field Service Manager ORA_FFS_FIELD_SERVICE_MANAGER_DUTY. By default, this duty role is included in the Field Service Manager job role ORA_FFS_FIELD_SERVICE_MANAGER_JOB.

Before you start

Ensure that:

  • Your environment uses the native Fusion platform.

  • You have permission to view the Maintenance Dispatch List.
  • The maintenance resource exists in the common service data model.

What You Can Configure

You can configure the following availability settings for maintenance resources:

  • Work schedules
  • Shifts
  • Custom working time
  • Non-working time
Note: Although work schedules, shifts, custom working time, and non-working time are also available from the Oracle Field Service Configuration page, you must access these pages from the Field Resources page when configuring calendar availability for maintenance resources.
