Work Order Data Visibility and Configuration

Work Order data is visible only if the activity includes a corresponding Work Order ID. To ensure visibility, the Work Order ID must be set at the activity level during the creation of both the activity and the Work Order. Integrators can assign a Work Order ID to an activity and configure Oracle Fusion Field Service to show the relevant data, eliminating the need for field synchronization or duplication.

To configure Work Order fields:

  1. Sign in to Oracle Fusion Field Service as an administrator.
  2. Go to Configuration > Displays > Screens.
  3. On the Screens page, select the page you wish to configure. For example, Activity Details.

The Context Layout Structure/Visual Form Editor for the selected page appears.

  4. In the Data Fields list, find and add desired Work Order fields. You can also add the Address field with the label formatted_address to supported Field Service pages, if you've configured the address format in Fusion Setup and Maintenance.
  5. For each added field, set the appropriate visibility:
    • Read-Only for all standard Work Order fields.
    • Read-Write is available only for the Field Service Note and supported Descriptive Flexfields.

Note: Supported field types for editable DFFs include Text, Number, Percentage, Date, Datetime, Checkbox, and Fixed Choice.
  6. When ready, click Publish to apply changes.

The updated fields are visible (and editable if allowed) to users on the configured activity pages.
