Enable Asset Search and Nearby Functionality

You can configure the Asset Details plugin to open in Scan and Search mode or Nearby Assets mode. You can also configure the nearby search radius and radius unit.

Asset Details Plugin Search Mode

The Asset Details plugin supports two modes from the mobile worker's My Route page:

• Scan and Search mode: Mobile workers scan a barcode or search by configured asset search parameters.
• Nearby Assets mode: Mobile workers view assets near their current location or, for maintenance assets, assets linked to the worker’s mapped work center.

By default, the plugin opens in Scan and Search mode from the mobile worker’s My Route page. To open the plugin in Nearby Assets mode, configure the open parameter for the button that launches the plugin.

Default Radius Behavior

If nearbyRadius and nearbyRadiusUnit aren’t configured, nearby search displays installed base assets within a 5-mile radius.

For maintenance assets, nearby search displays assets linked to the mobile worker’s work center.
