How do I configure Dispatch filters to show only activities for resources with a specific route status?
You can focus the Activities view (List, Time, or Map) in the Dispatch Console on work assigned to resources whose route is in a particular operational state. For example: Started, Not started, or Suspended by creating and applying an activities filter that uses the resource's Route status field.
This filtering is essential for focusing dispatching efforts, such as:
- Prioritizing first jobs to crews that haven't started yet (Route status = Not started).
- Focusing on active routes during the workday (Route status = Started).
- Reviewing work tied to routes that are temporarily on hold (Route status = Suspended).
To create and apply Activities filter based on Route Status:
Note: Important considerations or limitations for using the Route Status

        - Unassigned Activities: Route status does not apply to activities that have not yet been assigned to a resource. You must handle those separately (e.g., through an Unassigned queue view).
- Terminology: Status labels may be localized, so ensure you select the values exactly as they are labeled in your specific environment.
- Consistent View: For a fully focused view, it's highly recommended to pair your Activities filter (by Route status) with a corresponding Resource filter (by the same Route status).
- Permissions: If you are unable to save or share a filter, you may need to ask an administrator to grant your user type the appropriate permissions.
- Open the Dispatch Console.
- Select the Date, Region, and/or Bucket that corresponds to the routes you wish to filter, as Route status is date specific.
-
                Create a New Activities Filter:
                - Go to Filterspanel.
- Select New filter. Or, go to Manage filters > Create.
- Choose the Activities filter type.

- Add the Route Status Condition:
                - Select Add condition.
- Navigate to Resource/Route fields and select Route status.
- Choose the appropriate operator (Equals or In) and select the required status values (e.g., Not started, Started, Suspended, Completed).

- Refine (Optional):
                - You can narrow your results further by combining the Route status condition with other conditions like Activity Status (e.g., Pending), Work Zone, Bucket/Organization, or Activity Type.
- To also limit the resources shown in the Resource list, create a separate Resource filter using the same Route status condition and apply both filters.

-
                Save and Share the Filter:
                - Set the visibility (Private or Shared).Note: Permissions to save or share depend on your user type.

- Apply the newly created filter to the Dispatch Console and confirm that the Activities list, time view, and map now only display activities associated with routes in the chosen status. Consider enabling Auto-refresh so the view updates as route statuses change.
