You can share files, documents, and images in one-to-one conversations, helpdesk chats,
or in group conversations such as conferences or broadcasts. You can also upload a file from
your device gallery to another user using the Collaboration window.
Recipients can either view or download the shared files to their devices.
Before you start
Ensure that the Allow file sharing via chat option is enabled for the Oracle Fusion Field Service Mobile app users.
Ensure that the file storage is set up in the application for using the Share Image
functionality.
- Ensure that the file types that you attach include DOC, DOCX, ODT, PDF, XLS, XLSX, ODS,
ODP, PPT, PPTX, TXT, CSV, RTF, and all types of supported image types including GIF
format.
- Ensure that the maximum size of a file you can share is 5 MB.
Here's what to do

From your device, log in to Oracle Field Service as a Mobile worker or as a back-office
user.

Navigate to the Collaboration window and then click the new
conversation icon
.

Search for a user and select it, or select a user from your Address Book.

Click the Attachment icon
in the message input box.

You can perform any of these options:
The file types that you can attach include: DOC, DOCX, ODT, PDF, XLS , XLSX,
ODS, ODP, PPT, PPTX, TXT, CSV, RTF, and all types of image files. The maximum size of a
file you can transfer is 5 MB. You can see an appropriate error messages when you attach
an unsupported type of file, or the file size exceeds 5 MB. The selected file or the photo
captured is uploaded to the chat window. The recipient can preview the image and download
the file (if required).

You can perform the following tasks before sharing the file:

View the selected files as a thumbnail within the message text box of
collaboration that you are planning to share. |
Delete File |
Click the cross icon on the thumbnail to remove the selected file. You can use
this feature to delete an incorrect file before sharing. |
Note:
- The selected image is automatically re-sized to 800 pixels (width) within the chat
area.

The above steps may vary based on the device and the operating system.
- If GIF images are sent, the images are displayed with animations in the image.
