Resolving Issues using the Consolidation Assistant
Resolving Issues
When you run the Consolidation Assistant to diagnose consolidation performance or system health issues, the results are displayed in a summary table of Findings and Next Steps.
If an issue can be automatically resolved by the assistant, an Action ID is displayed in the summary table. You can enter the Action ID to have the assistant automatically resolve the issue.
If an issue cannot be resolved by the assistant, no Action ID is displayed and you must manually perform the steps to resolve it.
To automatically resolve an issue:
-
From the Consolidation Assistant, enter "resolve xxx", where xxx is the Action ID.
-
At the assistant confirmation prompt, enter Yes to continue or No to cancel.
-
The assistant resolves the issue and returns a message when it is completed, for example, "Successfully set the substitution variable CONFCALC_RTV = false."

Rolling Back an Issue
If the result of a resolution performed by the Consolidation Assistant is not satisfactory, you can use the assistant to roll back the resolution.
-
From the Consolidation Assistant, enter "rollback xxx", where xxx is the Action ID.
-
The assistant rolls back the steps it performed to solve the issue and returns a message when it is completed, for example, "Successfully rolled back by deleting the substitution variable CONFCALC_RTV ."
