Extensible Attribute Values in Customer Contracts

You can configure the application to display extensible attributes you defined in descriptive flexfields in the Edit Customer Contract page.

You set up descriptive flexfields when your business process requires additional extensible attributes to help identify your customer contracts and performance obligations, or to simply support management reporting. Set up your descriptive flexfields at the source document header level, source document line level, or both.
  • Source document header level:

Extensible attributes defined at the header level are typically used when defining contract identification rules to group source data into a contract based on a specific type of source data such as the quote number.

  • Source document line level:

Extensible attributes defined at the line level are typically used in performance obligation identification rules to group some source document lines into a single performance obligation or to uniquely identify certain source document lines as distinct performance obligations.

View both header level and line level attributes in the Line Details section of the Promised Details tab in the Edit Customer Contract page.
