Disable the Scan Option on Mobile Expenses

You can disable the Scan option on the Expenses mobile application by configuring a profile option.

You must have one of the following roles to disable the Scan option:

  • Application Implementation Consultant

  • Financial Administrator

  • Expense Manager

Defining the Profile Option

To disable the Scan option, define the profile option, EXM_MOBILE_DISABLE_SCAN, and set the profile option value to Yes.

To define the profile option, complete these steps:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following:

    • Offering: Financials

    • Functional Area: Expenses

    • Task: Manage Profile Options

  2. On the Manage Profile Options page, click the Create (+) icon.

  3. On the Create Profile Option page in the Profile Option Code field, enter EXM_MOBILE_DISABLE_SCAN.

  4. In the Profile Display Name field, enter a profile display name.

  5. From the Application choice list, select Expenses.

  6. From the Module choice list, select Expenses.

  7. From the Start Date field, enter a start date.

  8. Click Save and Close.

  9. On the Manage Profile Options page in the Profile Options Levels section, select Site as the Level value.

  10. Select both the Enabled and the Updatable check boxes.

  11. Click Save and Close.

Defining the Profile Option Value

To define the profile option value, complete these steps:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following:

    • Offering: Financials

    • Task: Manage Administrator Profile Values

  2. On the Manage Administrator Profile Values page in the Search: Profile Option section, enter EXM_MOBILE_DISABLE_SCAN in the Profile Option Code field.

  3. Click Search.

  4. In the Search Results: Profile Options section, select the profile option you created.

  5. In the Profile Values section, click the Create (+) icon.

  6. From the Profile Level choice list, select Site.

  7. From the Profile Value choice list, select Y.

  8. Click Save and Close.
