Configure IBG Geography Codes

You can create IBG geography codes by specifying a lookup value for geography identifier subtype.

The tax authority requires geography identification codes. The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) defines standard numeric codes for each city and state in Brazil.

Note: In the geography structure, they are defined as alternative codes.

Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Manage Geography Lookups task.
2. Select HZ_GEO_IDENTIFIER_SUBTYPE.
3. In the Lookup Codes section, click New.
4. Enter the lookup code as IBGE_CODE.
5. Enter the start date of the record.
6. Click Enabled.
7. Enter these values:
   1. In the Meaning field, enter the Brazil IBGE Geography Code.
   2. In the Description field, enter the Brazil IBGE Geography Code.
   3. In the Tag field, enter C.
8. In the Attribute field, enter a value.
9. In the Meaning field, enter the Brazil IBGE Geography Code.
10. In the Description field, enter the Brazil IBGE Geography Code.
11. In the Tag field, enter C.
12. Click Save and Close.
