How to Edit Intercompany Transactions

Intercompany transactions from multitier flow are generated by the application based on the attributes derived from the intercompany agreement and the entered fund transfer authorization.

So, an intercompany transaction derives the attributes from the agreement, transfer authorization, and intercompany setups. Some of them can be overridden at the transaction stage by editing the transaction.

Settlement Currency Basis

Settlement currency basis is the currency in which the fund transfer is settled for a particular leg of the transaction in the multitier flow.

Settlement currency basis is initially derived from the intercompany agreement when the transaction is generated.

You can edit and override the default option to another value.

The change in the settlement currency basis may require re-computation of settlement amount in settlement currency.
Conversion Rate Type Conversion rate type defined at the intercompany agreement is used for conversion from the transaction currency to settlement currency.

Conversion rate type is initially derived from the intercompany agreement when the transaction is generated.

You can edit and override the default option to another value.

The change in the conversion rate type will require re-computation of the settlement amount as the conversion rate may be different from the initial one.

If the new conversion rate type is user, then it will require users to also enter the rate manually for computation of the settlement amount.

Account Combination You can use transaction account builder to determine the user enterable account combination for both provider and receiver organizations for each leg of the transaction.

You can edit the transaction and override the account combination that are defaulted. Alternatively, you can manually enter the account combinations if TAD is not used.

The account combination will be used for generating the accounting information include the balancing lines.

Balancing lines can be re generated whenever account combinations are edited.

Customer Site Intercompany transaction type determines if the intercompany transaction will be processed as invoices in Receivables and Payables.

If the onward flow is invoicing, then the customer information that includes customer name and site are derived from the intercompany customer supplier relationship setup.

You can edit the customer site if you would like to generate the Receivables invoices with another customer site.

Application defaults the site that is set up as primary for the reference set.

The new customer site will be used for generating the receivables invoices when the intercompany transaction is transferred to Receivables.
Supplier Site Intercompany transaction type determines if the intercompany transaction will be processed as invoices in Receivables and Payables.

If the onward flow is invoicing, then the supplier information that includes supplier name and site are derived from the intercompany customer supplier relationship set up.

You can edit the supplier site if you would like to generate the Payables invoices with another supplier site.

Application defaults the site that is set up as primary.

The new supplier site will be used for generating the payables invoices when the intercompany transaction is transferred to payables.
