Enabling Action Menus for Ad Hoc Grids

You can create a global action menu, called an ad hoc menu, that is enabled for all ad hoc grids. An ad hoc menu works within the context of one of more cubes. You must associate the ad hoc menu with one or more cubes, and then the menu can be viewed in all ad hoc grids that use those cubes. For example, you can define an ad hoc menu that launches a business rule. When you right-click a data cell in any ad hoc grid that uses the selected cube, the business rule menu option displays and you can run the rule.

You can also designate an existing action menu as a global ad hoc menu.

Note:

Global ad hoc menus are also enabled for Oracle Smart View for Office ad hoc grids. See Right-Click Context Menu in Working with Oracle Smart View for Office.
