How a Request Is Closed

A service request (SR) is closed automatically when the Auto-Close Service Requests scheduled process runs as scheduled.

This process closes SRs that were resolved a certain number of days ago. The number of days for this scenario is set using the SVC_SR_IN_RESOLVED_DAYS profile option.

Note: You can see a list of closed SRs by using advanced search, but you can't manually set the status of an SR to Closed. And after an SR is closed, you can't edit the SR, add a message, or reopen it.
